Regional Geothermal Training Workshop on Policy Development and Harmonization

by | Jan 15, 2011

The main goal of the workshop was to create a uniform policy towards geothermal utilization in terms of attracting direct foreign investment. RG was invited to contribute the company’s experience and ideas to create geothermal operations from a private sector developer’s perspective. Among the participants were institutions such the World Bank, IFC, KfW, ADB and others. The workshop proved to be constructive and effective, and resulted in a common recommendation for how to accelerate geothermal Resource development in Eastern Africa countries: the “Kigali Recommendation on the Way Forward”.
