Iceland

Iceland is a global leader in geothermal energy and Reykjavík Geothermal’s home base. In the Ölfus municipality, just outside of Reykjavík, we are developing geothermal projects that deliver both electricity and thermal energy, enhancing opportunities for green industry growth. Our project developments are designed to deliver significant social and economic benefits while minimising negative environmental impact. 

Canary Islands, Spain

Europe has become a hub for renewable energy transformation, and Reykjavík Geothermal is driving advancements in geothermal power generation across the region. With ongoing projects in Spain and Iceland and more opportunities on the horizon, we are exploring and harnessing high-temperature geothermal resources to provide reliable energy solutions.

Our efforts in the Canary Islands, Iceland, and beyond showcase how geothermal energy can replace traditional fossil fuels, reduce carbon emissions, and create lasting environmental and economic benefits.

The Middle East

The Middle East is an emerging hub for geothermal energy development, and Reykjavík Geothermal is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation. Through a joint venture with TAQA Well Solutions, we have launched the region’s first geothermal energy company, TAQA Geothermal. This collaboration has opened doors to exciting opportunities in Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. From district cooling systems to large-scale geothermal developments, we are pioneering innovative solutions tailored to the region’s unique needs.
